FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between VPS and VDS?

+
VPS plans share physical CPU cores across multiple tenants with burst allocation, while VDS plans give you dedicated CPU cores and guaranteed RAM that are reserved for your virtual machine only. VDS delivers consistent, predictable performance for production workloads — no CPU steal, no memory ballooning.

Can I send email from a VDS?

+
Outbound SMTP is not permitted. Ports 25, 465, 137, 138, and 139 are blocked at the network edge. We recommend using a transactional email provider (Postmark, SendGrid, Amazon SES, Mailgun) for outbound email from applications running on your VDS.

Which operating systems do you support?

+
Ubuntu 20.04/22.04/24.04 LTS, Debian 11/12, AlmaLinux 8/9, Rocky Linux 8/9, and Windows Server 2019/2022. Custom ISOs are supported on request for advanced users.

How fast is the network?

+
All VDS plans ship with 500 Mbit/s–1 Gbit/s uplinks. Bandwidth caps vary by plan tier. Overage is billed at $0.29/GB if you exceed your monthly allowance.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?

+
Yes. Upgrades are available at any time from the client area and apply on next reboot. Downgrades require disk space verification and are processed within one business day.

Is there a refund policy?

+
Virtual server services are non-refundable.

Can I register Reverse DNS (rDNS)?

+
Yes. Contact support to set up rDNS — a floating IP definition is required. Our team will assist with the setup.
